Very warm temperatures, cloudy skies, and the potential for showers, and thunderstorms are ahead for your Thursday Farmcast. Areas of Shasta, Tehama, and Glenn counties have all had showers, and thunderstorms return since Wednesday afternoon, and there is a decent chance for more active weather throughout the valley over the next couple of days. Valley temperatures are starting out in the high 50's to mid 60's this morning, and are expected to climb back into the mid to high 80's this afternoon. Winds are expected to vary for today. The northern end of the valley will have winds out of the North from 10 to 15mph, and the mid valley will have winds out of the Southeast up to around 10mph. Humidity values will only fall to around 30 to 40 percent later today. Your Thursday morning sunrise is set for 5:40am, and sunset will be at 8:31pm.
Even hotter temperatures are ahead for the weekend, with mid to high 90's expected for the valley. The potential for showers, and thunderstorms will continue to be strongest in the mountains, but there will be a lingering chance for active weather in the valley through the weekend.
