Shots fired at Oroville residence

Just before 10:00 p.m. the Butte County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of shots fired in a residence on Pinecrest Road in Oroville.

An investigation revealed the victim’s ex-girlfriend, Camille Cromeenes, 32, of Oroville entered the residence with a handgun and fired one shot into a wall near the victim and the gun jammed. The victim and her friend were able to subdue the suspect and take the gun. During the altercation the victim was bit on the leg.

Cromeenes fled the residence, but was located and arrested in a field near the scene. Cromeenes was booked into the Butte County Jail for domestic battery, brandishing a firearm, burglary, and discharging a firearm in a grossly negligent manner. Her bail was set at $159,000.
