Shot fired into Redding Restaurant, man arrested

Redding police arrest a man Wednesday night they say fired a gun into a restaurant. It happened just after 8 the Puerto Vallarta restaurant at 2315 Eureka Way. A shot from a small caliber handgun was fired through a restaurant window while patrons were eating inside but no one was hurt.

Witnesses gave police a description of the shooter who was spotted walking along Eureka Way. A police K-9 was used to take the suspect into custody. He is identified as 37-year-old Jeffery M. Brown of San Francisco. No gun was found. So far Brown only faces a charge of resisting arrest.
