Oroville Police are looking for the person involved in a shooting overnight that sent one person to the hospital.

Officers were called to the Oro Villa Apartments on the 2700 block of Mitchell Avenue just before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

When officers arrived on scene, they learned the victim, who sustained a single gunshot wound to the upper torso, had already been taken to Oroville Hospital.

The victim was listed in stable condition.

Police are still searching for the suspect, who was last seen driving a 1990's model Buick Oldsmobile, possibly gold in color, with chrome rims.

The suspect is described as a heavy set white male in his 30's with a scraggly beard, glasses and light brown hair.

He is considered armed and dangerous.
