A Yuba County K9 deputy is recovering from stab wounds he received while taking down a suspect last weekend.
According to the Yuba County Sheriff's Office, a deputy and his K9, Glock, visited a transient camp along the Yuba River Saturday night looking for a person of interest.
While searching for the suspect the deputies encountered 50-year-old Tracy Regan, who was wanted for burglary in an unrelated case.
Regan fled the area and Glock was sent after him. Sheriff's officials say Regan stabbed Glock as the dog tried to detain him.
Glock is expected to survive and Regan is being held at the Yuba County Jail on $130,000 bail.
