The Shasta County Superior Court announced Friday that Tamara Wood has been named Court Commissioner.
Wood will be filling the vacancy created by the resignation of Jennifer Dollard. Dollard is leaving Shasta County on October 17 to accept a Court Commissioner position is Santa Rosa for the Sonoma Superior Court.
Wood currently serves as General Counsel for the Shasta County Superior Court, and was previously a partner in the civil litigation firms of Reiner, Simpson, Slaughter and Wood and Maire and Beasley where she practiced primarily in personal injury, contract and employment law litigation.
A formal swearing ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. on October 17 in Department 1 at the Shasta County Justice Center. The public is invited to attend.
