Shasta Lake deputies looking for suspects in stabbing incident

Sheriff's deputies in the city of Shasta Lake are still trying to get to the bottom of a stabbing incident that occurred on Thursday night.

Deputies responded to a call at the Drive-In Market on Hill Boulevard, where they found Redding resident Jeff Abbott with a non-life threatening stab wound in his upper torso.

He reported that he was jumped by three or four people for an unknown reason, but could not identify or describe the subjects.

Deputies say that there are still a lot of unanswered questions.

The only information they have is that a white male was seen leaving the area on an all-black Harley Davidson motorcycle.

"We're not sure if the victim is withholding information from us or if some of the witnesses that were in the area are withholding information with us, because it's not a normal occurrence when people are walking up and down the street, people don't just come out of nowhere and stab the people," Sgt. Tyler Thompson said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at (530) 245-6068.
