Shasta County pot raid nets 1,154 plants

The raid of five western Shasta County parcels by drug agents Tuesday led to the seizure of more than 1100 marijuana plants.

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office Marijuana Investigative Team, California Fish and Wildlife and personnel from Shasta County Planning Department conducted the raids at a parcel on Two Feathers Road, west of Cottonwood as well as five additional parcels in the Trinity Alps Preserve area west of Igo.

A total of 1,154 marijuana plants were seized and the cases have been submitted to the Shasta County District Attorney's Office for review.
