The Shasta County man accused of setting 10 fires in the Happy Valley area, between 2013 and 2014 has taken a plea deal that could send him to prison for seven years.
Christopher Holtzclaw, 43, pled guilty to all charges in court Friday morning. The Shasta County District Attorney's office charged Hotlzclaw with 10 counts of felony arson, in addition to prior charges from previous crimes he had committed.
The grass fires did not damage any property or cause and injuries.
The judge presiding over the case said Holtzclaw is looking at about seven years and four months behind bars.
Holtzclaw will be back in court Monday for sentencing.
