Six Mexican nationals were arrested Tuesday after Shasta County drug agents arrested them at the scene of a marijuana grow in the Whiskeytown National Park.

The arrests were made when agents with the Shasta County Sheriff's Office Marijuana Investigative Team found the grow on public land in the Whiskey Creek drainage of Whiskeytown National Park.

A total of 4,702 marijuana plants were eradicated from the site along with 450 pounds of processed marijuana. Additionally, officers removed approximately 500 pounds of trash, pesticides, and fertilizer.

All six men found at the site were determined to be from Michoacán, Mexico. They've been booked into the Shasta County Jail.
