More than 400 Shasta County students participated in Farm City Day in Anderson Wednesday.

The event is organized by the Shasta County Farm Bureau, and gives 4th graders from elementary schools across Shasta County the chance to learn about agriculture and how it interacts with their everyday lives.

Farm City Day has been running for more than 20 years. Students were treated to lunch after making their rounds through all the events.

Teachers also benefited today, they were given activities and lesson plans to take back to their schools and help the kids continue learning about agriculture in the classroom.
