Saturday was closing night of Shasta College's presentation of 'Chicago.'
It was the first time that the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical has been performed in Redding.
This particular production was headed up by a Redding native.
James Santos, who co-directed and choreographed the show, got his theatrical start performing with Shasta College.
He moved to Las Vegas to work with Cirque Du Soleil in 2010, but he returned this summer to lend a hand.
"I think that the most unique thing about Shasta College's production is seeing the fact that there's local talent. These people all live here, they usually have a job during the day or they're students, they come in here and change your whole world, so there's some very talented people in this show," Santos said.
