Shasta County’s Board of Supervisors have passed a measure increasing all county employee’s salaries by 3 percent.
The board unanimous’ decision is said to cost the county between $800,000 and $900,000 annually.
County employees said this raise is meant to “make employees whole again” after they took a multiple percentage cut over the last couple years during economic downturns.
