Several Butte College football players commit to four-year programs

Five Butte College football players are headed to the next level.

Offensive Lineman Jacob Vazquez, a West Valley High product from Cottonwood, will attempt to walk-on at Fresno State.

Safety Ryan Holland, a Corning High product, has signed with Adams State University, an NCAA Division II school located in Alamosa, Colorado. Adams State is part of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, along with Fort Lewis College, which is where running back Armand Bokitch is headed.

Wide receiver Timazray Shepherd will attend Pace University, an NCAA Division II school in the New York metropolitan area. Pace is part of the Northeast-10 conference.

Wes McCoy, a defensive back, kick-returner and wide receiver, will take his versatility to Texas A&M University Kingsville, an NCAA Division II school which plays in the Lone Star Conference. The University holds the record as the Division II school with the most players signed by NFL teams, including Hall of Famers Gene Upshaw, Darrell Green and John Randle.
