A semi-truck has gone off the road near the South Ave. off-ramp on I-5 northbound.

The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. and according to the California Highway Patrol traffic information page, the truck is stuck in a creek bed.

The truck was occupied by a married couple from Tennessee and their dog. The woman was driving the truck when a bee flew into the cab and apparently caused the accident. The man was stung and told our crew on the scene that he blacked out and does not remember how the crash happened.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment after complaining of a back injury. The man refused treatment at the hospital, because he did not want to leave their dog alone.

At this time traffic is moving slowly and down to one lane.
