GRAND TERRANCE, Calif. (AP) - A security guard who died confronting a gunman firing at a crowd outside a Southern California roller rink was mourned at a candlelight vigil.
Forty-eight year old Richard Williamson of Riverside was remembered Friday as a generous friend whose smile was a familiar sight at the Cal Skate rink in the city of Grand Terrace, between Riverside and San Bernardino.
Authorities say Williamson was killed and two other men were injured early Thursday when the gunfire broke during a New Year's party at the rink.
Detectives are asking for the public's help in finding suspects.
The San Bernardino County Sun reported that about 100 people mourned Williamson at a vigil Friday night. Flowers and candles were placed on the sidewalk outside the rink.
