The Tehama County Sheriff's Office arrested a second suspect they suspect to be connected to a gang related shooting that happened in Gerber last Wednesday night.

Lucio Madera was located and interviewed by authorities on Saturday, and following the interview he was booked into the Tehama County Jail on an open count of murder.

Investigators have discovered the shotgun they believe to be the murder weapon as well as the vehicle witnesses placed at the crime scene.

The murder happened outside the Crossroads market in Gerber and initial reports indicated the involvement of three men who fled the scene in an older maroon "boxy" style sedan. Investigators believe 19-year-old Poly Duenas Sanchez, of Corning shot 24-year-old Walter Dewayne Dani, of Red Bluff, in the head.

Sanchez was taken into custody on July 10, but police are still actively pursuing 19-year-old Gambino Madera (see photo above).

Anyone with information about this case or Gambino Madera's whereabouts should contact the Tehama County Sheriff's Office at (530) 529-7920 or at 22840 Antelope Blvd. Red Bluff, CA 96080
