Search for new Chico State president underway

The Chancellor of the California State University system was on the Chico State campus Tuesday afternoon.

Chancellor Timothy White was in town for a forum to start the process of replacing retiring Chico State President Paul Zingg. The forum was held at Laxson auditorium and White urged everyone from students and faculty to community leaders to help with the process.

The next opportunity for community member to review candidates for the president’s job will be in early February. The time and location will be well publicized.

The search committee is hoping to select Zingg’s replacement by early March.

Zingg is retiring at the end of the academic school year. He has been president for the past 12 years.
