Jackson County search and rescue volunteers searched a gravel pit known for teen parties over the weekend but found no sign of a 17-year-old Ashland girl who has been missing for two months.
The sheriff's office says the search Saturday included two dogs certified in detecting human remains.
Sgt. Shawn Richards told the Mail Tribune searchers found several articles of clothing and liquor and beer bottles but nothing relevant to the disappearance of Hannah Thomas-Garner. She was last seen at a party in the area early on Nov. 30, and her car was found later that day at Mount Shasta, California.
Police believe she is a runaway but are continuing to investigate under pressure from a group called "Team Hannah."
