A school bus carrying four students was involved in a three vehicle fender bender this morning in Yuba City, no students were injured, but the driver of a Buick was taken to Rideout Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The school bus and a 2005 Honda CRV were stopped in the northbound lane of Clark Avenue, South of Bridge Street in Yuba City. The driver of a 1986 Buick was coming up on the two stopped vehicles and was unable to stop. The driver of the Buick veered right, side-swiped the Honda and the school bus, and struck a telephone pole.

The driver of the Buick 78-year-old Betty Mackinson told Yuba City Police that she hit the stopped vehicles because she couldn’t locate her brake pedal.

Mackinson was taken by ambulance to Rideout Memorial Hospital after complaining of pain. A passenger in the buick, the bus driver, the four students on board, and the Honda driver were all uninjured in the crash.
