School bus driver killed in Marysville crash

A school bus driver was killed after crashing on the way to pick up a group of students this morning in Marysville.

Around 10:45 a.m. the bus driver was traveling east on Marysville Road, west of Dobbins Road, when the bus drifted off the road. The driver attempted to correct the bus, but overcorrected causing the vehicle to cross the eastbound lane and go down an embankment where it collided with a tree.

No students or other people were on board the bus when it crashed, the driver was on the way to Shady Creek to pick up a group of students.

Alcohol and drugs to not appear to have been a factor, but the collision remains under investigation.
