Summer vacation is officially over for students in Newtown, Connecticut. Students at Sandy Hook Elementary School will return to the classroom today at a new location. Chalk Hill Middle School in nearby Monroe, was renamed Sandy Hook Elementary. Monroe officials donated the closed school to Newtown after the December 14th shooting in which 20 children and 6 adult staff members were killed. Earlier this year, a task force approved a plan to demolish the school where the massacre took place and build a new one on the same site. That proposal is sill awaiting approval by Newtown residents.
