San Jose Sharks coach Todd McLellan and the team have mutually agreed to part ways.
Mclellan has been with San Jose since 2008 and leads the team with 311 wins and 540 games coached.
He won a President's Trophy in 2009 when the Sharks had the NHL's best record.
He coached the Sharks to three Pacific Division titles and six appearances in the Stanley Cup Playoffs including two in the Western Conference Final.
McLellan hopes to coach in the NHL again, as for now he's headed to the Czech Republic to coach Canada in the IIHF World Championship.
This season San Jose missed the playoffs for the first time in eleven years.
