SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - San Jose police are looking for a 25-year-old man they say shot and killed his girlfriend in a car with their 1-year-old daughter inside.

Police released a description of Andrew Butler on Friday. They say Butler and his girlfriend, 33-year-old Kendra Gonzales, were in an argument on Tuesday when Butler shot her from the passenger seat of the car.

According to police, he then removed her body and left her on the roadway. Police say Butler ordered two passengers in the back seat to get out and take his and Gonzales's 1-year-old daughter with them. He then allegedly fled.

The vehicle was located in Salinas.

Police say Butler is from Sacramento, but also has ties to Monterey County.
