SAN DIEGO (AP) - A San Diego TV sportscaster has testified at a hearing for a house painter charged with shooting him six times in a dispute over money.

The San Diego Union-Tribune says KFMB-TV anchor Kyle Kraska took the stand Tuesday at the preliminary hearing for Mike Montana - who waved at him.

Montana has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder.

Kraska says he hired Montana to repaint his Scripps Ranch house for $3,000 and gave him $800 up front but the work was shoddy and Montana quit last November.

Kraska says in February, Kraska shot him as the sportscaster sat in his car in his driveway.

He had several surgeries but returned to work a month later.
