Thanksgiving preparations are underway at the Salvation Army on 16th Street in Chico, as volunteers there are preparing enough food to feed an army.
Salvation Army officials are expecting to serve around 600 people on Thanksgiving Day, up from the 450 people they served last year.
The operation takes about 80 volunteers and donations from around the community.
In addition to serving up meals at the Salvation Army, volunteers will be taking Thanksgiving dinners to people who are homebound this holiday season.
People interested in attending the Salvation Army's dinner do not need a reservation or a ticket, just show up to 567 East 16th Street tomorrow between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
