It's been several years, and an incredibly long journey, but they've returned. Thousands of Chinook Salmon have made their way back to the Feather River Fish Hatchery to spawn. Officials say this year's numbers look big and better than in years past.
The next several days at the hatchery will be spent sorting and sexing fish, before they are spawned by hatchery workers. The bustle and rush of fish comes just in time for the annual Oroville Salmon Festival.
