Fire officials say containment lines on the lightning-sparked Saddle Fire in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest were further strengthened Tuesday night and containment is at 80 percent.

On Wednesday crews will be conducting mop up efforts and conducting road repairs in areas damaged during the fire fight, as well as clearing hazardous vegetation near the fire lines.

The fire, which has burned more than 1500 acres, broke out in the forest near Hyampom, about halfway between Eureka and Redding last Tuesday.

Four firefighters have been injured while fighting the Saddle Fire, but fortunately no serious injuries have been reported.

An evacuation order for about 100 people along County Road 311 southeast of the fire was lifted Sunday.
