The Sacramento River is on the rise again with this new round of storms hitting the North State

Right now, state water officials are expecting river levels from Shasta to Colusa to exceed monitor stage in a few areas through Friday morning.

Monitor stage means the river is rising to the point where levees should be patrolled and any equipment and livestock should be moved out of low lying areas in case the river continues to rise.

The highest river level forecast through Friday morning is at Tehama Bridge where the river is expected to rise about one foot over monitor stage.

The river at Hamilton City is expected to rise to almost 141 feet over night, about three feet below monitor stage.

We'll have an updated river forecast tonight at 5 and 6 for tomorrow afternoon and into Saturday.
