Oroville Police have one man in custody after a botched home invasion early Saturday morning in Oroville.

Oroville Police dispatch received reports of a subject attempting to break into apartments at the Oroville Manor Apartments, 2750 Lincoln Blvd. The Oroville Manor Apartments is a senior living complex.

Patricio Lobato, 31 of Sacramento, was found in the courtyard of the apartment complex.

Investigators believe Lobato tore a screen off a window to an apartment belonging to a 73-year-old woman and started to enter the apartment through the window.

The window was directly over the resident’s bed, who said she was frightened by the attempted intrusion and hid inside her apartment.

Further investigation revealed Lobato had been on several of the residences porches attempting to steal random items such as a bird bath and a bicycle.
