ANDERSON - A routine traffic stop in Shasta County has led to a large meth bust, the seizure of thousands of dollars, and the arrest of an Anderson man.

Sheriff's deputies stopped John Jasmer, 57, back on May 25 and found $17,900 cash in his car. The discovery prompted an investigation, which revealed the money was linked to drug sales.

On Tuesday, deputies served a search warrant at Jasmer's home on Lloyd Lane in Anderson and found $5,000 cash and 11 ounces of crystal meth.

Jasmer was arrested and processed at the Shasta County Jail, however he has since been released to receive treatment for an unrelated medical problem.
