Rodgers won't play vs. Falcons

Packers coach Mike McCarthy indicated that Rodgers would not return from his broken collarbone and play Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons at Lambeau Field by ruling him out on Friday's injury report.

There was a glimmer of hope that Rodgers would return this week, but tests on Tuesday showed he was not healed enough for team doctors to clear him. Rodgers was cleared to practice, which he did on Thursday for the first time since his injury, but Matt Flynn took the starter's reps and should get the call on Sunday.

The Packers haven't won since Rodgers was injured on Nov. 4 against the Bears, going 0-4-1 to fall to 5-6-1 and into third place in the NFC North.
