Robbery prompts lock down of elementary school in Oroville

Oroville Police Department are searching for two suspects who allegedly robbed a person at gunpoint Monday afternoon.

Police officials said the robbery took place on the 1600 block of Pine Street around 3 p.m.

The two suspects approached the victim and one pulled out a hand gun and took an undisclosed amount of cash money and property and fled the scene. The victim was not injured in the robbery.

Because the robbery took place so close to Bird Street Elementary School, police officials temporarily locked down the school to search for the suspects. They have not been located at this time.

The suspects are described as black males, one wearing a red, white and blue polo shirt and jeans and the other wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts.
