The Chevron gas station clerk who was robbed at gunpoint by two men earlier this month is speaking out about what happened.

The surveillance video has been viewed thousands of times on, and the clerk, Brandon Chester has quite a story to tell.

On November 6, Chester says he was in his second day of training at the Chevron station on Nord Avenue, when around 5:30 a.m. two men stormed into the store with guns and demanded money from the register.

Chester says he thought it was real world on the job training, so he remained calm.

It was when the two men put a gun to the back of his co-worker’s head and forced him to the ground that he realized the situation was very serious. Chester says his co-worker called out instructions on how to open the register, and the whole time he feared that if he slipped up, his co-worker would be shot.

A few days later, one of the suspected robbers was shot and killed by a Chico Police Detective.

Chester says the incident created too much anxiety for him and he opted to find a job that keeps him away from cash registers.
