Cal Trans announced Friday that Asphalt paving work is scheduled for next week, Starting August 27th, as part of the $46.5 million Marysville Highway Reconstruction Projec.
Workers will overlay State Highway 70 (B Street) from 14th Street to the 17th Street, with alternating lane closures in both directions from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday and 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday.
At thee request of the Marysville Police Department, pedestrian beacons are being added to the crosswalk at 16th and B streets. Light poles will be added at each side of the highway along with flashing signal lights that can be activated by pedestrians when they want to cross the highway.
Additional asphalt paving will take place overnight Monday and Tuesday nights, also from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on State Highway 20 (12th Street) from B Street to Buchanan Street. Once the paving work is complete, the intersection at 12th and Ramirez will be restored to its original configuration before construction, with two westbound through lanes and a left-turn pocket.
All work on the project is expected to wrap up this fall.
