CALTRANS has announced that construction stemming from two Butte County projects will affect area traffic next week.
A $39.7 million project by the Butte County Association of Governments and Caltrans to construct new auxiliary lanes on State Road 99 between East 1st Avenue and the State Route 32 junction in Chico will cause various north and southbound lane and on and off ramp restrictions from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Friday. Only one ramp will be closed at a time. Motorists can also expect various westbound lane restrictions from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Friday between Fir Street and Linden Street.
Construction from a $10.7 million seismic retrofit project on the West Branch Feather River Bridge will cause the north and southbound lanes to be reduced to a single lane in both directions from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday on the West Branch Feather River Bridge.
