Motocross riders are gearing up for the start of the season in the North State.
Dozens of riders from all over California and Oregon took to Cycleland Speedway in Oroville Sunday to train for the first of a four-race series beginning Oct. 13.
The sport of motocross has grown worldwide and that’s good news for the local economy.
”So that brings money here,” said Lowell Moural, Cycleland Speedway owner. “They have to buy fuel, they have to eat dinner, and most of them will spend the night after a day like today. So every weekend it brings money into the local economy.
Cycleland Speedway’s season open Oct. 13 with races at 10 a.m.
