Secret Witness of Shasta County is now offering a reward to help catch those involved in a fire sparked by illegal fireworks last week that destroyed an office building in Redding.

Law enforcement officials do not take these kinds of crimes lightly and are hoping some help from the public will lead to arrests in the case.

The fire burned through a four-thousand-square-foot office building on South Street near East Street around 11:30 the night of July 4th.

Investigators say at least three teens, believed to be white males between twelve and sixteen-years-old, were setting off fireworks and running from the area immediately after the fire ignited.

They say it started in some bushes before spreading to the building.
Officials are now offering 15-hundred dollars for information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects.

If you have information, call the Redding Fire Department at 225-4543 or Secret Witness at 243-2319.
