Residential burglary spike in Anderson

Mar 4, 2014 12:54 PM

There has been a significant increase in residential burglaries in the Anderson Heights area recently.

Yesterday the Anderson Police Department responded to three residential burglaries, two in the 2200 block of Knobcone Avenue and one in the 1500 block of Hemlock Avenue. All three residences were unoccupied at the time of the burglaries and appeared to have been entered with forced style entries. Among the missing items were firearms, jewelry, and cash.

The Anderson Police Department is asking for public assistance in stopping these burglaries. Residents should secure their homes, including all doors, windows and garage areas. Any suspicious activity or suspicious person should be reported to the Andeson Police Department as quickly as possible.
