A honey oil lab explosion in Redding on Saturday Night at 8 p.m. sent one woman to jail.

21-year-old Ashley Westphal was arrested after the police and fire departments responded to the incident on East Street.

She's accused of tending to an illegal honey oil lab.

Honey oil describes a form of concentrated cannabis, that's produced through a process involving butane, which is highly combustible and often results in fires.

The suspect suffered minor injuries from the explosion.

She was booked into Shasta County Jail for manufacturing a controlled substance.

The fire was out when emergency personnel arrived on scene, and the residence didn't suffer any damages.
