A Redding nurse was among the victims hurt in Monday's explosions at the Boston Marathon.
Marilyn Kight is a hospice nurse at Mercy Medical Center and was in Boston watching her daughter run in the race.
She was injured in her leg and has undergone surgery and is recovering in a Boston hospital.
She released a statement asking for prayers for those killed or injured and described the scene as horrific.
No word yet if Kight's daughter was also hurt in the blast.
