Local country singer Summer Schappell continued to impress the nation, and more importantly her celebrity coach Gwen Stefani, advancing to the knockout round on last night’s episode of ‘The Voice’.

Summer’s battle against fellow teammate Hanna Ashbrook wasn’t broadcast in full, but viewers saw Summer sing a few notes of country hit “Leave the Pieces” before Gwen Stefani declared her the battle winner.

The 22-year-old Enterprise High School grad is now onto the Knockout Round, where the contestants are once again pitted against a fellow singer. During the Knockout Round, each celebrity coach can steal one losing artist. The top 20 contestants move onto the Live Shows.

You can watch The Voice on Action News Now Monday’s at 8 p.m. and Tuesday’s at 9 p.m.
