Shasta County shoppers are heading to social media to voice their concerns over the conditions outside of a local shopping center.
The shopping center is at the corner of Cypress and Hilltop in Redding. The 99 Cent Store, Ross, K-Mart and other stores have been the subject of numerous Facebook pots where residents have complained about the number of homeless in the area.
A handful of the posts have included pictures and videos of some disturbing scenes in front of the stores. The complaints have prompted a number of store’s corporate offices to respond. The corporate offices have indicated they are aware of the problems and hope something can be done.
The manager of the 99 Cent store told Action News Now that she was unable to comment on the matter.
