Members of the Redding West Rotary Club presented a check for $25,000 to the Good News Rescue Mission.

The money will go toward the Building Hope campaign.

Redding West Rotary is also sponsoring the kitchen in the new Victory House, which was completed earlier this year.

The Victory House is home to the Women's New Life Recovery Program.

“The mission, as a whole, gives back to hundreds of people every year, they're trying to break the cycle of poverty, trying to take people off the street and put them back in a productive role in society and more importantly, it speaks into people's lives on a spiritual level, I mean the love of Christ is shown here, and that's probably the most important thing we do here,” said Robert Cronic, president of Redding West Rotary.

The next step in the mission's Building Hope campaign includes the renovation of the House of Hope which will increase the capacity from 16 to 80 beds dedicated to homeless women and their children.
