A Redding restaurant invited the community in for a free traditional Thanksgiving lunch.
With the help of donations from local vendors and families, Grilla Bites prepared 700 portions of turkey and fixings for anybody who wanted to stop by.
Co-owner Coleen Garcia says that being able to help others has been important to her since she was a child.
"My dad always at Thanksgiving was just always praying for those who are less fortunate than we are, we bless them today, and that has always been a seed in my heart. I've always had a heart for the poor, and so, here they are," said Garcia.
This is the third year that the Garcias have fed the community on Thanksgiving day.
