Police in Redding make an arrest in a two month old residential burglary case thanks to good police work. 32-year old Nathan Ray Erickson was arrested after police say he sold stolen property to local secondhand gold dealers in the Redding area during the weeks following the burglary.
The victim, 31-year old Vanthida Soutsadam, reported her residence in the 500 block of Iris Drive was ransacked while she was out of town in August. Numerous items of jewelry, clothing, and household goods were stolen.
A search of Erickson apartment, close to the victims residence, turned up the stolen property yesterday.
Erickson was arrested for receiving stolen property, four counts of commercial burglary, conspiracy to commit residential burglary, and knowingly selling stolen property to a secondhand dealer.
Another man visiting Erickson's apartment, 37-year old Jesse James Coffman, was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine and a warrant for violating the conditions of his Post Release Community Supervision terms.
Both suspects were booked at the Shasta County Jail.
