One teenager from Redding is behind bars this morning after leading officers on a high speed chase overnight.
At around 12:46 a.m., officers attempted to stop a gold colored, 2000 Ford Focus near the area of Cypress Avenue and Civic Center Drive.
Officers determined the vehicle matched the description of a vehicle reported stolen in a robbery yesterday.
18-year-old Devin Sutton-Wilson refused to pullover and fled eastbound on Cypress Avenue.
Wilson attempted to make a right turn onto southbound Ishi Drive, but lost control and crashed into a yard in the 2500 block of Ishi Drive.
Two passengers, 22-year-old Olivia Perea and 19-year-old George Gensaw remained in the vehicle. They were uninjured and later released.
Wilson fled to a wooded area east of the crash where a search was conducted by California Highway Patrol helicopter and K-9 Cain.
The suspect was found hiding under some brush and refused to come out, then he was apprehended by K-9 Cain.
He was booked at the Shasta County Jail for robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, felony evasion, and resisting arrest.
