Redding police are searching for thieves suspected of burglarizing more than 20 businesses on the eastside of town over the past two weeks.

Most of the burglaries have occurred in the Bechelli Lane, Dana Drive and Hemsted Drive area, however a few have occurred off of Lake Boulevard.

Police say a dozen of the burglaries have occurred in the past three days. In most of the cases, the burglars target strip malls in the early morning hours and then ransack the businesses. The thieves have stolen everything from cash to laptops, but the monetary value of the items stolen is unclear at this time.

In all cases, the thieves have managed to flee the businesses by the time police have arrived.

Anyone who might have information on these crimes should call the Redding Police Department at 530-225-4200.
