Redding police searching for man who robbed 7-Eleven

Police are searching for a man who robbed the 7-Eleven on Eureka Way in Redding Friday morning.

The robbery happened shortly after 6 a.m., when an unidentified man entered the store wearing a black ski mask. He claimed to have a gun and demanded money from the clerk, who initially refused to comply.

When the clerk refused the man’s order, he jumped over the counter and grabbed a metal cash box before fleeing north.

Officers searched the surrounding areas, but the man was never found.

The clerk described the robber as a white man around 5 feet 7 inches and 160 pounds, he was wearing a black sweatshirt with a white and red graphic, blue jeans and black tennis shoes. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call police at (530) 225-4200.
