Cordova confessed to committing the robbery. Cordova was identified from bank surveillance video by Redding Police Department and witnesses confirmed it was him.
Police searched for Cordova after the robbery and received information about an address on Walnut Drive.

When police arrived they learned that Cordova fled but they found the clothing he was wearing during the robbery, and a demand note similar to the note used.
